A Recipe for a Healed Life

The recipe I followed for my healing, when I felt broken and without much reason to live, has five main ingredients: Intention, Support, Meaning, a Goal, and Personalization. Each ingredient is explained in the detail in the chapters at the end of the book. As with any recipe, this one can be customized and improved upon with more of one thing, less of another, and the addition of a surprise ingredient or two, to create a recipe that works for you.

Having a plan for healing can lift one up and out of paralyzing grief, whether due to the loss of a child, a limb, a home, or anything or anyone deeply loved and deeply mourned; the end of a marriage and a bitter divorce; chronic illness that seems to stand in the way of everything. I share my experiences of healing in the hopes that it will help others find their way to the peace, purpose, and joy that await.
